Daily Delight

I will come praising the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD,
I will praise your righteousness, yours alone.
(Psalm 71:16, NRS)

Good Morning,

Occasionally our neighbor’s hound dog comes down through the woods to stand in our yard and howl. It appears the dog howls to howl. Accordingly, the dog likes to howl in our yard.
While dogs have limited abilities to experiencing delight, humanity has access to unlimited daily delight. Praising God opens the doorway to delighting in the Lord. Of course, there are circumstances that elicit our praise to God.

Can we praise God because of circumstances?
Or do we actively praise God anywhere at anytime because He is God? The joy of living is most evident when we praise God because He is God despite our circumstances.
The Psalmist made a decision to praise God:

I will come praising the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD: When our mind is set on the works of God we are unable to think on anything else. In turn, we refocus our perspective.

I will praise your righteousness, yours alone: We are awed by the righteousness of God through praising His holy, blameless, perfect, and upright character.

Choose to experience the daily delight of praising God.
Praise God for His mighty deeds.
Praise the righteousness of God.

Learning with you to delight in the act of praising God,
Kerrie
